The Crazy Months of Spring

So while we are done with traveling for a little while things have certainly not slowed down around these parts! Work has been very full for the both of us. Jonathan's hall council decided to host a concert as part of the ROW week that fraternities do on campus (basically a week of parties). So he has been learning about artist contracts and sound requirements for power outlets. I think it is safe to say he doesn't see a future passion for being in the concert planning business, but it has been a good project. Grits, the band, performed in Pomfret this past week with about 250-300 students in attendance- great for a first time event.

I have been balancing a little more than normal workload around my office while my co-worker was getting married in Florida the last three weeks (congrats Mr. and Mrs. Healy!). It just so happens that this past month is the busiest time for both of our areas with ASG elections and another funding round for student organizations, plus re-registration for the next academic year for those organizations. If you understood our jobs well at this point you would understandably be saying wow that is insane! I've managed to keep up my work out schedule and eat regular meals which has helped the stress level a lot. I am thrilled that Mrs. Healy is back in the office this next week and the funding round will be done after Monday mostly. So there is a light coming soon!

Jonathan and I are co-presenting at the Diversity Leadership Institute tomorrow for student leaders on campus. Our session is called Navigating Christianity and we will be covering some of the mainline denominations and what their general beliefs are. A recent university survey here showed that more students attend church as an activity than drinking beer or spending time on a computer. So we are exploring that fact and hopefully teaching about what the various beliefs represented by our students are.

So if you haven't heard from us in awhile, now you know why, things have been full, busy, crazy. I did take time this week to get a haircut and figured you would all appreciate seeing it! I keep getting shorter and shorter each time, or perhaps braver and braver.
