Our visitors

We had a full house last week with my mom in town on her spring break. She was here a full week Saturday- Saturday! It was a great week for her to be around as we scheduled some of the usual stuff for her to take part in. She came to water aerobics two nights, our check up appointment with Mari- who got us into the ultrasound room so Oma could take a peek!, we started our first birthing class she came to with us, and then she worked on sewing all of the soft things for Heath's room.

On Wednesday my aunt Dania and cousin Hope drove up from DFW to join in the girl fun and brought up an extra sewing machine as well! By default of our space, we had to bunk these two up in the same room on the trundle daybed and they were just like little girls at camp!
Here is a peak at some of the work that was getting done- Dania is finishing up the bumper pad.
The valance for the window was completed- and I love it! It's fun to see the fabrics we picked out in February come to shape.
I told Dania to pose with the bumper pad- she wasn't quite sure how exactly it should be modeled.
My mom knew exactly how she wanted to display the dust ruffle she had been sewing for Heath's crib- "Olay"
We took a few parting snapshots after having a great Saturday morning of croissants at Little Bread Co. and walking through the first Farmer's Market of the season.

I have pretty special women in my family and I was blessed to have them around- even if we were all living on top of each other for a few days. I think it was great practice for Heath's arrival :)

"I had a great visit - all the things we were able to do, new places to eat, some shopping, and laughter that will last forever =) I talked as often as I could so Heath could start getting use to my voice. We are incredibly blessed as a family. Jonathan was a great sport to have us all. Thanks for the special time" Oma

  2. Love the bedding fabrics and your mother is just adorable! Any woman who can sport a dust ruffle as a Mexican poncho is going to be a FUN grandma!
