We have forward movement!

After a few weeks of backwards crawling, side rolling and good effort forward stares- Heath decided to take the initiative and move one knee ahead of the other this weekend. This is where I earn mom of the year points... so we were at a nice restaurant in town (Ella's) and I went to change Heath in the bathroom. After looking for Jonathan in the hallway I could not find him and I needed to go. The bathroom is downstairs- so being too lazy to lug all of us and the diaper bag back upstairs I decided he was just going to have to enter with me.

I set him down on the very clean tiled floor as I did my business and Heath lunged forward sprawling out across the floor. Oh great I thought, please wipe up all the germs you can while you are down there. But then, forward movement. I thought I was imagining it so I just watched. Again, he skootched forward. I had to look back to where he started from to believe he was actually crawling forward and I was not just seeing things. At this point Heath was on top of my feet and had moved about three feet (we were in the big stall- you know those are always cleaner;) ).

So excited and with embarrassment I carried him back to the table to share the news with his dad that we had finally moved forward! As soon as we got home J put him on the floor and grabbed the video to capture this second crawl on film for you all!
