Growing Boy!

**I started this over a month ago, things have been a bit full :) **

This is an all-about-Heath post. You've been warned.

Heath turned 18 months on December 3rd and we had his wellness appointment with a new Pediatrician in Blacksburg this last week. He weighed in at 26 1/2 lbs (50th percentile) and 32" (55th percentile). Since his last check up at 1 year he has grown 3" and gained 5lbs, healthy progress! In the last month or two we have really noticed the development in his social and verbal skills. It is just amazing to see how one day he doesn't know what something is called and the next day uses the right name.

Here is an enjoyable clip of Heath entertaining us as we waited for the dr to come in. The room was pretty warm- so no worries about the tile floor and diaper only boy :)

Some new words added to Heath's vocab:
Sesame Street characters: Elmo, Ottur (Oscar the Grouch), Over (Grover), and if you haven't seen Heath's Cookie Monster impression you have to check it out on facebook.
Opa
Oma
Ammpa (Grandpa)
Amma (Grandma)
Owside (outside)
choo-choo (train)
Oose (juice)

And he is pretty good at saying and pointing to many body parts now: belly, eyes, head, hair, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, toes.

And in addition to Heath's fun spirited side- he is showing us some great focus and attention to things, shown here as he plays with his train set.
