Yeah for Saturdays!

Fayetteville has a Farmer's Market each Saturday around our town square. (This is the same place that was lit up at Christmas and family got to see with us at Thanksgiving. ) Our friends, The Browns, gave us an insider tip that this Saturday they would be giving away free trees to Fayetteville residents in order to celebrate earth week and generally be green in this town. So we got up a little quicker than usual for a Saturday and headed to pick up our little guy.
Here is the tree that Jonathan is actually planting right now on the outside of our gate since it is supposed to grow quite huge and our small garden patch couldn't hold it.
While at the market we also picked up some fresh tulips from a local farm! I love this season.
Last weekend we did some re-planting in our garden. The three hanging plants did not survive our January ice storm so here are the new ones- hardy perennials we hope. The big cabbage looking plant in the middle we thought was dead has really started to spring up this past week.
Another great find downtown- just a few blocks away from us- is a little bakery that sells Chocolate croissants! These are my favorite and a great family memory of the Le Bou in Sacramento. These were pretty amazing! And they sell ham and cheese, almond and plain as well which means the entire Henkelmann family could be satisfied with this one shop!

Jonathan is actually smiling here, in our "I do" wedding mugs. He had a sticky bun for breakfast. We brought them home to eat on our nice back porch with the beautiful warm weather. This is shaping up to be a wonderful Saturday!
