Celebrate!

We have some exciting news to share today. This past week we met with our TIAA-Cref representative to discuss our retirement and savings plans and then attended a webcast at church with Dave Ramsey, Christian financial advisor. So finances have been the talk around our house and making plans for our future and what to do in our current situation. We are happy to share that as of today we are debt free! Yep you heard us right, free of debt! We decided to pay off the remaining student loan and that transaction will process today. 

We feel incredibly blessed to be in this place and thank God for all of His provisions. Having jobs here on campus and not paying rent has allowed us to feel confident in paying off debt and preparing for future things. We also recognize how important the support of our family has been and how without them we would have had much more to pay and would not have been in this place. I remember one of my professor's in college sharing her last student loan payment news and thinking- that's cool. But now I understand the feeling and desire to share the excitement! It is VERY cool!
