Family Reunion in Phoenix- part 2


We were blessed to have my parents take the ~10 hour drive over from California in their Tahoe and pick us up at the Phoenix airport when we arrived Saturday. Oma and Opa time began and did not stop until they dropped us back at the airport the following Wednesday.
We were also able to see my dad's cousins and uncle that live in the area and share a meal Sunday before our conference began. It was great to introduce my husband to many of them for the first time- and of course for them to meet Heath!


Heath was not hurting for any attention this week.

Our hotel in Tempe was right in front of the outlet mall and provided a great entertainment spot for Heath during the following days. The mall, and the hotel pool!

We were so lucky to have my parents be there with us. It has felt like a long stretch of time since we were last together at Thanksgiving in Virginia and I was so grateful they could spend concentrated time with Heath while he is at this very fun stage. His vocabulary really grew on this trip with saying many two-word sentences. Opa's truck. Oma's truck. Big rock. And then there is the song that my mom shared with Heath from her birthday card:
