Labor Day Vacation

One of the highlights of this past weekend was Heath turning three months old on Friday and officially laughing. Blogger is having a lot of errors for a week now. I have tried to post this adorable video of him laughing but with no success. One day.

We headed down to Texas for the long weekend (made longer by taking Friday off). Leaving Thursday evening, Heath did pretty well for his first long road trip. We only took 30 minutes longer to get there for a total of 6 hours. We stayed with my aunt and uncle and cousin in Flower Mound. It was great to be with family and they allowed us to stay and hang out with Heath- he definitely was the show stopper.

Saturday afternoon we headed down to Waco for a visit to our alma mater, Baylor! Sic 'em. We enjoyed getting to hang out with our expectant friends Marc and Carrie (and Vera) and chatting about all things baby!

The drive back to Arkansas on Monday was not as smooth as the trip down as Heath was clued into this whole sitting in the car seat for longer than an hour thing- yeah not going to fly a second time. But we made it back eventually (7.5 hrs later) and were very thankful for the refreshing time spent with family, friends and Baylor. All have a special place in our heart and we were glad to share it with Heath. Next time we travel will be Christmas.
