It's today, can you believe it? We hardly can.

We are blessed beyond words. It really does not seem like a full 12 months ago that he was welcoming us to his world. For the video recap you can revisit this post. And if you want to be sappy like me you can relive the two day experience of Heath actually arriving. As I reflect on all that has evolved in our family life this last year I have to say how grateful I am for the support system we have been blessed with. I seriously understand that quote now that it takes a village to raise a child. Our families have been so great to travel and be present for Heath in his first year. We have also learned to be better skype-rs and send picture texts. And because blood family is states away, we are so blessed to call on many in Arkansas as our extended family. Working in student affairs at the UofA has given us a host of locals and relocated friends alike to share in this journey with. And we are so grateful to have our Vintage family that has loved on Heath Sunday after Sunday; and offered comfort and advice as we figured out our first year as parents.
So it is officially Heath's birthday. But I will likely mark this day as celebrating two other things- delivery day! (seriously what an amazing process God designed) and community thankfulness day! (we could not have made it through this first year without all of you!).
Happy Birthday Heath! Cheers!
